Astrology & Astronomy: A Real Head Turner
December 1, 2008
Looking into tonight’s night sky we will see a rare astronomical event, the Moon, Venus and Jupiter in conjunction. This configuration will not happen again for another forty four years.
Described as a real head turner, this configuration, which last happened in 2004 could have this effect:
People who are unaware or have no advance notice will almost certainly wonder, as they cast a casual glance toward the moon on that night, what those two “large silvery stars” happen to be? Sometimes, such an occasion brings with it a sudden spike of phone calls to local planetariums, weather offices and even police precincts. Not a few of these calls excitedly inquire about “the UFOs” that are hovering in the vicinity of our natural satellite.
In the tropical zodiac, this conjunction is occurring in the sign of work and responsibility, Capricorn. In the crescent moon phase, this is time when we are anxious to get new things started. It can signal financial or relationship gains for a person with Sun, Moon or Venus in Capricorn occupying the middle degrees of that sign. The other earth signs, Virgo and Taurus, can gain as well.
Pisces and Scorpio can be presented with opportunities for gains, though not without some personal sacrifice in other areas.
Cancer will find that work and responsibility causes tension in the home. Choices will need to be made to achieve balance.
For the rest of us, its just a pretty sight.
