Reams of witty comebacks, snappy retorts and stinging sarcasm are our special hell for the next four weeks as the planet of action, Mars, rushed merrily into the sign of the energetic twins. Gemini acts like a toddler on a sugar high, and Mars wants to swing into action, any action, just as long as we don’t have to sit around and be bored. Under the aegis of the twins the god of war takes on new tactics. The weapons aren’t fists, guns or clubs but the sheer power of words. And bucko, they sure can sting. “Can we talk, darling?” or “You need to listen to me” are words you are sure to hear.

Some zodiac signs can handle this energy better than others. For the Fire Signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, who tend to run off at the mouth anyway, this is adding high-octane fuel to the fire. Sorry folks, you will have to listen to their tales of conquest and hijincks once again. Just try not to do it with a glazed eye so they don’t wander off to find a new audience. You’d miss them, after all.

Earth Signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, don’t find this energy amusing at all. Earth signs are like Tolkein’s Ents in the Lord of Rings. They don’t like to do anything hasty including communicate. For these folks the Gemini energy is just annoying as people around them are too busy to repeat themselves, or they feel they like are being rushed to express themselves. Expect crankiness in these folks, and remember to slow the pace of your words a wee bit slower if you want them to hear you.

Air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are in their glory with Mars in Gemini. New thoughts light up their minds as how to connect with the wider world. It’s just plain scary the way their eyes brighten with each new “personal” contact, each new Facebook “friend”, each Twitter tweet or comment on their one of six personal blogs. These folks were made to communicate, all right, and during the next month the ones closest to them get to experience what is like to live with someone who embraces social media more than they embrace them. Don’t worry, none of this is personal.

The Water signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are all at sea with the raw power of the emotionally disconnected Gemini energy. Yes, everyone is talking at them, but since the words don’t seem to have any real emotional content at, they feel they are missing something. Emotions are real furniture in the water sign’s landscape. If watching people stumble around in the dark getting all weepy and misty eyed is your kind of fun, have at it. Otherwise, throw in some cuddles and well-placed endearments to keep them from going completely bonkers.
