Bobby Brown: Whitney to Blame for His Drug Use
April 5, 2008

Looks like someone is stumbling on the steps of his twelve step program. Bobby Brown publicly blames is uncontrollable drug use on his former wife Whitney Houston. Whitney, wisely, refuses to comment on this statement.
“Miss Houston is sad that Bobby feels he need to say such things but she choses to take the high road and will not speak badly about the father of her child even if it’s to set the record straight.”
Substance abuse is a serious problem in our society, so much so that we spend about 3% of our gross national product, hundreds of billions of dollars, on the treatment and consequences of this cultural malady. Yet:
For nearly a century, the United States government has been waging one unsuccessful anti-drug crusade after another. Today, more than 20 million Americans abuse drugs and alcohol . . .
Addiction is a pernicious problem, with every root cause under the sun, childhood abuse and trauma, physical and genetic propensities, and/or spiritual challenges listed as the reasons for it.
Let’s take a look at the factors, astrologically, that would lead Mr. Brown to making such a statement.
Bobby has his Sun in the normally bright and sociable sign of Aquarius in challenge aspect his moon in the Plutonian sign of Scorpio. Unfortunately for this combination, he would have the tendency to misread the emotional intent of others, since his intellectual Aquarian Sun and his emotional Scorpio moon don’t communicate well with each other. This water sign moon is especially vulnerable to psychic impressions and the emotions of others. Packaged with his Scorpio moon is the his planet of survival instincts, Mars, and the planet of illusions, Neptune. This is a complex combination revealing deep seated lack of trust issues. It leaves him with a desperate sense that he needs to protect himself. There is a sense that other people are “out to get him.” On top of this, his moon is in stress aspect (inconjunct) his planet of reality, Saturn. He has no clue on how to create his own emotional security.
His Venus in Aries, representing his ideal woman, sits near, (though not conjunct) his Saturn, and Venus is stress aspect to his planet of shocks and jolts to the system which is magnified by its connection to the planet of expansion Jupiter. Any woman, not just Whitney, would feel eventually more like a goad than a goddess to Bobby. That Uranus makes an easy connection to his Mercury in Aquarius, lending him the ability to speak out what’s on his mind. Unfortunately, what’s on his mind his having a hard time connecting to what did happen.
With the planet of dreams and illusions connecting with his Sun position, Bobby it trying to make sense of what happened, especially in in terms of his drug use. However, he is going to need more introspection and time to sort out what triggers this problem in him. When the planet of reality makes a pass over his planet of transformation in September of 2009, the process will begin in earnest.
