Wimunc__J.pngThe sad news confirmed yesterday that 2nd Lieutenant Holley Wimunc was murdered and her estranged husband arrested for the crime.

One in four women experience domestic abuse, approximately 1400 women a year die at the hands of their intimate partner. Yesterday, Holley Wimunc became another statistic. Now the attention turns on her husband, a Marine that served two tours of duty in Iraq. What possesses anyone to kill the one he supposedly loved.

As it turns out the people who abuse others can not love, not in a real mature way. As stated in a previous post:

Astrological Analysis: The Terrible Death of Spc. Megan Touma

Friday, July 11th, 2008

July 11. 2008
In_The_News.jpg
Megan_Touma.pngThe badly decomposed body of Spec. Megan Touma who was seven months pregnant, was discovered in the bathtub of her motel room Sunday June 21, 2008 at 11:23 a.m. after a maintenance worker complained to his assistant manager about a “strong odor coming from the room. Hotel workers had not previously entered the room because a Do Not Disturb sign hung on the door since June 17. Her body was so decomposed the cause of death was not immediately named. However, the condition of the room itself, with blood smeared on the walls and the furniture askew, caused the Fayetteville, North Carolina police to call the death “suspicious.

Megan arrived at Fort Bragg on June 12, 2008, signing in at 2:00 a.m., and attended formations at 6:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. the next day. She then was scheduled some off time, and wasn’t due back on base for formation until June 16, 2008. She never made it to that formation.

Update & Self Critique: Lost in Alaska

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Two women who did not report back as scheduled on an overnight backpacking trip in Denali National Park were located and returned to waiting family members on Wednesday.

Abby Flantz, 25, of Gaylord, Minn., and 23-year-old Erica Nelson of Las Vegas greeted their family members at the park’s headquarters, park spokeswoman Kris Fister said.

Rescuers narrowed their search when a cell phone call made by Erica to her mother indicated that the two hikers where in the northeastern section of the search area. Initial news reports that the hikers were found were pulled after two hours of searching failed to locate the young women. Only after a second cell phone call was made were they located.

Forensic Astrology is a very new sub-specialty of astrology made popular by Edna Rowland with her books “Destined for Murder: Profiles of Six Serial Killers” (with Sandra Harrison Young) in 1995 and “True Crime Astrology” in 1996. As with anything new there are a lot of hits and misses as we work out the rules of how Forensic Astrology works. It is apparent that Forensic Astrology does have its own set of rules as the event chart does not always work out the way Horary astrology suggests it would or as the traditional Western interpretations of transits suggests.

Astrological Analysis: The Murder of Two Oklahoma Girls

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

In_The_News.jpg

The slayings of two girls — ages 11 and 13 — who were shot along a rural back road have baffled investigators and struck fear into townspeople, who are now afraid to let their children out of their sight.

Taylor Dawn Paschal-Placker, 13, and Skyla Jade Whitaker, 11, were found shot to death in a ditch along a dirt road near Weleetka, less than a mile from Taylor’s home Sunday evening. They had gunshot wounds to the head and chest, according to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

Authorities have determined that two guns were used in the shootings that have currently no suspects, persons of interest or apparent motive. The area where the bodies were found were near a road by an over pass, an area where locals regularly went to shoot off firearms.

Can astrology shed any light on this crime?

Terror Walks Through the Door at Northern Illinois University

Friday, February 15th, 2008

February 15, 2007
University_of_Northern_IlTerror walked through the door at Northern Illinois University sending another shock wave through our already stressed American nation. The news reports are filled with recitations of the actions of a lone gun man letting loose a rain of fire on a class filled with unsuspecting students, without apparent rhyme, reason or motive.

Northern Illinois University was said to have an extremely rapid response to the crisis, supposedly as a response the Virginia Tech shootings ten months earlier. But Northern Illinois seems to be unusually sensitive to violence and threats of violence, having put into place this Workplace Violence Prevention Policy at the university a full ten days before the Virginia Tech tragedy. What does astrology tell us about this about this University and the tragedy there?
