Do Over
November 14, 2007

Not only should you keep track of the moon by sign, but also by phase. Each phase responds just a little differently to the current environment. Today the moon is in the waxing crescent phase moving toward the full moon. In the yin/yang duality that pervades astrological thought, all moon phases moving toward the full moon are reactive to surrounding influences, while the phases moving away from the full are reflective, acting from conscious action. With the waxing crescent phase there is a sense of obstacles being put in your way, a sense that you have to do something over to get it right. This is frustrating as there is a sense of urgency to move onto to new things. With the slow and practical Moon in Capricorn in tension aspect to the stick in the mud Mars in Cancer, we have our feet stuck one foot in the past and one foot forward into today.
People in the workplace, don’t expect to get anything new started, and plan your work to get old projects out of the way. At home moms, it is an excellent day to organize your closets, just don’t expect that you’ll be able to part with anything in them. Food should be comfort food: mac and cheese is an excellent choice, or spaghetti. Not a good day to try that new recipe.
Capricorn, Virgo and Taurus–You never minded going slowly, and you love to work hard. Still, your hardheaded ways annoy those who want you to work more cooperatively. Too bad for them.
Aquarius, Libra and Gemini–this is a fine day for socializing, as today’s oatmeal consistency pace will bore you. Just make sure you stay out of the way of the earth signs, who’ll bulldoze right through your coffee klatch.
Aries, Leo and Sagittarius–slow down or you’ll be asked (or forced) to do things over. You’ll be asked to review old records, something you are never fond of.
Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces–You’ll be digging into old issues to find the skeleton in the closet. Make sure it isn’t someone you buried.

Well put. For the WAX phase: actions are instinctual, and for WANE, we find out the meaning of our actions.
There is often a misconception that there is not much happening during the waning moon, but the action certainly continues. It’s just that you are (sometimes painfully) aware of the effect your actions have made on the world and with your associates.
