“Releasing a sex offender unconditionally without supervision is not a good idea,” says UNF criminologist, Michael Hallett.

In prison for more than half his life, he committed his first sexual assault just shy of his seventeenth birthday. His crimes included kidnapping, sexual battery, burglary, armed robbery, grand theft auto and aggravated assault. Even while awaiting trial his penchant for criminal behavior continued. He was involved in a gang rape of fellow inmate.

Yet Jerry Inman is remembered this way:

‘I have known the family for 20 or 25 years and they are some of the best people I know,’ said resident Kathleen James, 68.

Jerry Buck Inman ‘attended our church and was in our youth group,’ she said. ‘And he was just a regular rambunctious boy, like all the rest of them. He was a real sweet little guy.’

His biological father skipped out on Buck and his family when Inman was very young. His mother married another man. Inman apparently had no education as there is no school registration records for him in his hometown, though his family was active in church. His family moved several times to different states during his youth. He apparently suffers from bi-polar disorder. He has no stable work history. Yet even with a history of violent sex crimes, no education and no work history, the Florida Department of Corrections did not see Inman as a danger to society.

In hindsight the Florida agency responsible for reviewing sex offender cases, Department of Children and Families, says “We made the mistake.”

That mistake cost three women, one the victim of an attempted assault, another a rape, and the last and most tragic Tiffany Marie Souers, a horrific sexual assault capped by her murder by strangulation in 2006. Inman has pleaded gullty to these crimes on August 19 this year. Psychiatrist Dr. Donna Schwartz-Watts< ahref=http://www.greenvilleonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080820/NEWS01/308200006/1004/NEWS01>reports for the past two years Inman has confided he wants to die for his crimes.

The details of Tiffany’s death and his execution of the crime reveal a man cold and calculating. He described the rape as “hav[ing] sex with her. During this “sex” he was strangling her with her bikini top. He realized she was dead when “she stopped struggling”.

Inman is a curious sociopath. During the attempted and aborted rape attempt of his first victim after his prison release he kept apologizing to her and told her he would not hurt her if she did what she was told. It was only after she told him that “God will forgive you,” that he backed off on the attempted rape and merely stole her car.

Robbery, rape, murder, power, control, death. All Plutonian themes. So what in Inman’s astrology chart talks about these elements in his life? Pluto is in challenge aspect (square) his Sun.

Other infamous people that share the Sun square Pluto aspect are Susan Atkins, Mark David Chapman, Jeffrey Dahmer, Adolph Eichmann, Reinhold Heydrich, Joseph Mengele, and Lee Harvey Oswald.

Let us be clear. “The stars impel, they do not compel.” Human behavior manifests along a continuum of intensity based on our opportunities, limitations and personal choices. In my own study of sociopaths, an energetic connection between Pluto and a personal planet occurs in about 45% of these cases. But thousands of people living have this aspect in their chart. While they may grapple with Plutonian intensity throughout their life, they chose not to take it to the extremes that Jerry Inman did. What then are factors that would “impel” Inman toward these horrific choices.

We do not know Inman’s birth time, but it is easy to imagine that his Moon in Virgo sits closer to his natal Pluto than the sunrise birth chart below. Within the influence of Pluto, the moon becomes part of the Pluto’s opposition to Chiron. Chiron talks about deep-seated trauma, (wounds) that refuse to heal. If you notice in the outer wheel representing the attack and murder of Souers, the south node, representing the past, conjuncts Inman’s Pluto. With Pluto sextiling the planet of fantasy and illusion, you can be sure that Inman’s fantasizes about rape, and with Neptune sitting next to Jupiter, he fantasizes about it continually and obsessively. It is as if he inflicts the same pain he felt he can lessen its hold on him. He fantasizes about death as well, but he struggles between ending his emotional pain and his body’s survival instinct. Mars in the sexually charged sign of Scorpio in stress aspect to Chiron shows sexual trauma of his own. It is no longer curious that Inman’s family chose not to educate him in the public schools where the child might have access to professionals that might recognize the signs of abuse. Who was the abuser? We might never know.

On the day of Tiffany’s death, chillingly, transiting Moon, and transiting Pluto form a Yod, points right to Inman’s afflicted Sun. A Yod is often called the “Finger of God” and is often involved in events that seem fated.

This is a tragic case and an indictment of our justice system. If instead of sending a teenage Inman to jail for half his life, and by providing appropriate treatment it might have been possible to salvage him. UNF criminologist, Michael Hallett says that if sex offenders are caught early on there is hope that the offender’s behavior can be turned around.

“If you catch sex offenders early they can be treated effectively . . .”

But Inman never had that chance and Tiffany Souers paid with her life.

The power of the feminine goddesses was displaced when the patriarchal tribes of Northern Greece over ran the Southern matriarchal tribes. All the goddesses, including Eris, suffered a reduction in power and influence as the new patriarchal religious forms supplanted the older matriarchal forms. Those goddess images that survived with good press, Venus, for instance, morphed from stronger images of War Goddesses, to more docile forms. Eris, as goddess image didn’t translate well into the new dichotomy and therefore became an “outsider” in the patriarchal Greek pantheon.

A way of looking at Eris in our charts is seeing how it defines the part of ourselves whose essential nature is as odds with our current cultural norms. This part of us stands against “what everyone does”. With Eris now recognized in our solar system and now part of our developmental path as a species, this is the time for us to recognize that true inner voice that does not bend to the will of the many. Like Innana’s gifts to her people that helped them grow as a people, Eris gives us true insights that we are to share, even though society does not want to hear them.

The Millennial generation, or Generation Y, has entered the workplace and their Baby Boomer parents are keeping a closer eye on them than ever before, in many cases taking a very active role in post-college recruitment that continues through a Millennial’s young career. Many leading employers are, perhaps unwillingly, embracing the idea of so-called “helicopter parents,” so just how has this swinging change in demographics affected the workplace?

Many Generation Y experts define a Millennial as under 30 or born between 1979 and 1998. As a group, or stereotype, they are tech savvy, keen to succeed quickly and friendly with or reliant on their parents much more so than Generation X that preceded them. Both groups had very different influences and patterns of parental involvement from a young age. Trick is, Generation Y started entering the workplace after college or grad school about three years ago, which is when some surprising tales started emerging from employers about helicopter parents.

This the is first generation of children whose parents put a computer mouse in their hand as soon as they could sit, and the generation who taught their parents how to code in html. While their parents were brought up on re-runs of the Three Stooges and Tom and Jerry cartoons, they had “He-Man”, “Transformers” and “Gem”. While their parents had Lincoln logs, Barbie dolls and baseball gloves, they had “He-Man”, “Transformer” and “Gem” action figures along with a plethora of other mass marketed items including personal video games. No waiting until you were old enough to enter a bar, electronic games were literally at their fingertips. Boomer children were sent out in the neighborhood to play with their friends and not bother their parents until lunch or dinner time, with nary a parent going out to see what was going on. Yet these same Boomers raised children whose time was carefully segmented into play dates, self improvement lessons of all kinds, and even personal and family therapy. Now these same parents, who didn’t care a hoot about what their parents wanted, (remember the 60’s and 70’s?) are micromanaging their children’s employment futures. And the kids are not only letting them, they rely on them to do it. What gives?

While the experts define Generation Y as being born from 1979 to 1998, the ones that are entering the employment market are from the first decade of this demographic. These young adults were born with the planet of individuation, Uranus in either Scorpio or Sagittarius, the planet of high spiritual ideals, Neptune in Sagittarius or Capricorn, and the planet of transformation, Pluto, is in Libra.

Their parents. the late Boomers, were born with Uranus in Cancer or Leo, Neptune in Libra or Scorpio and Pluto in Leo.

What we are seeing is an interaction of two astrological factors, the sign Pluto was in for these parents and the quadrant emphasis of the signs the outer planets were in for these generations.

The parents were born from had Leo in Pluto and whose outer planets zodiac rulers are oriented in the second quadrant of the natural zodiac chart. Debbie Kempton-Smith says of the Pluto in Leo generation:

Pluto in Leo transformed a generation whose self involvement transmuted into a extreme involvement in their children’s lives. But is this a case of the tail wagging the dog?

The Pluto in Libra children do not see their parents so much as authority figures, but as managing partners in their lives. These children, providing that there is no mitigating factors, such as abuse in the parental relationship, are not only willing, but eager to accept their parents as friends and companions in this lifetime. His arraignment [was] scheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities said there was no immediate motive for the attack, but Brust’s statement said: “Malil and the victim had apparently been in a dating relationship which recently ended.”

Police were summoned to a San Marcos residence when neighbors reported hearing glass breaking and a woman screaming for help.

The victim was stabbed over 20 times according to the LA Times, and is in critical condition. San Diego’s NBC affiliate, KNSD-TV, reports that Malil arrived at the home and found his ex-girlfriend in her backyard with another man, grabbed a knife and began stabbing her while chasing her through her home. When the unidentified man tried to intervene, he was also stabbed in the hand.

Eve Salony, who lives across the street from Beebe, told the San Diego Union-Tribune that Beebe was having dinner with a date in her back yard on Sunday when Malil showed up and “got into the initial scuffle” with Beebe’s date. Salony said the date “got scared and he ran over here. He was bleeding.”

[The] male visitor initially disarmed Malil, but he found another knife. A neighbor then showed up and disarmed Malil for the second time.

Chuck Lee, 32, who lives next door to Beebe, told the Union-Tribune that he was watching TV when he heard Beebe screaming and went to help. Lee said he saw a man with a knife on Beebe’s front patio, restraining the woman.

“I kept telling him, ‘You don’t want to do this,’” Lee said. He said the man kept saying, “Look at what she did to me.”

Lee said he didn’t see any injuries to the man, and told him that Beebe couldn’t harm him to get him to stop. Lee said the man dropped the knife, and he tended to Beebe. Lee said he moved the knife several times, so he was between it and the attacker. He said the man was calm, and even sat down at one point. Sirens could be heard in the distance, Lee said, when the man “just stood up and walked away.” Authorities arrived at the house about 9 p.m.

“Her chin was almost entirely cut off. She had a huge gash in her arm that looked like a really deep wound that was bleeding profusely.” Lee said. “ She asked me to hold her and I could feel a lot of gashes in her back as well.”

[Kendra Beebe] was transported to a local hospital where she initially was reported in critical condition with stab wounds and cuts to her face. Two children — ages 2 and 4 — were sleeping in the home during the attack, authorities said.

Attorneys for Beebe say of the more than 20 knife wounds on her body, three were life threatening — one to each lung and one to the throat. They say Beebe nearly bled to death and there was “a lot of blood” on the back patio, through the kitchen and all the way to the front patio.

She is expected to survive her wounds.

According to her Facebook page, she is a 35-year-old mother of two who works as an insurance broker in Carlsbad, a coastal suburb.

The actor, a 43-year-old Sherman Oaks resident, was taken in police custody around 6 p.m. Monday . . . Police officers seized him when he got off an Amtrak train in Oceanside. Malil was returning from a trip to Los Angeles to talk to his lawyer in anticipation of turning in to police, Lt. Phil Brust of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department stated.

Malil, who lives in the Los Angeles suburb of Sherman Oaks, had taken the train to the San Diego area to meet his attorney, who had joined the actor’s family and friends in persuading him to turn himself in, deputies said.

Malil was charged late Monday with attempted murder with special circumstances of premeditation, causing great bodily injury and using a deadly weapon, said Deputy District Attorney Steven Carver.

Malil pleaded “not guilty” to the charges. Bail had been set at $2 million, and prosecutors had asked for an increase to $4 million, but Judge Marshall Y. Hockett raised it to $10 million, citing concerns about public safety and the possibility of Malil being a flight risk.

He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted on all counts.

Malil appeared in the Budweiser “What are you doing?” commercial that aired during the 2001 Super Bowl, a spinoff of the “Whassup?” spots from the year before. He also played a co-worker, Haziz, to comedian Steve Carell’s title character in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” and has appeared in dozens of TV shows including “NYPD Blue” and “Scrubs.”

There is no question that Malil is the perpetrator of this crime. What is in question is what defense his lawyer can put up. What can astrology tell us?

Born on December 23, 1964, Kerala, India, Malil has his Sun in the self deprecating sign of Capricorn, his emotional center, the Moon, in the attention seeking sign of Leo, his Uranus, Pluto and Mars in perfectionistic Virgo, Venus and Mercury in truth seeking Sagittarius, the task master, Saturn, in idealistic Pisces, and Jupiter in Taurus opposite Neptune in Scorpio. This is man of big dreams, and big ideas, especially when it comes to women. He need a woman to be loyal and pay him the attention he craves (moon in Leo), be independent, (Venus in Sagittarius), yet uphold an ideal of perfection that would be impossible for any person to uphold (Mars, Pluto, Uranus in Virgo). It is unlikely that Malil is going to accept the advice of his counsel, as Neptune as it is moving in the heavens right now is going over Malil’s Saturn, representing his lawyer. He should, because the lawyer is only one of these two that is thinking clearly now.

Aries-footloose and fancy free, at least that is what the image that you project. But your own impulsiveness is your own worst enemy, and the things you do, either out of desperation or a rattled attempt to seek attention are not likely to be viewed favorably. You can find yourself the odd man out if you don’t find a way to work harmoniously with others.

Taurus-You neither understand people who seek attention just to get it, or the people who seek to shock just to see other’s reaction. However, you get to observe these behaviors close at hand through those closest to you. No, you can’t stop the madness, but maybe you can learn a thing or two about dancing to your own drummer and striking up the band.

Gemini-Your friends, your lovers, your children, your bosses, your father, anyone who is a significant influence in your life seem like one challenge after another. People do quirky things, it seems, just to annoy you. The fact is that it is you that needs to change your attitude, not them. Until you face that fact, the next six months will be very rocky indeed

Cancer-The next six months finds more action swirled around you than what you are used to. You are expected to shoulder more responsibilities on the home front than you are used to. You don’t mind the attention. You bask in it as a matter of fact. However, when you find yourself whining that it is all too much, then it is you that needs to look at your behavior. Leo–This lunar eclipse is a redux of the solar one, where you are facing challenges about seeking your higher purpose, which seems to elude you, and the things that you want to do, that seem out of reach at the moment. This time though, it hits you emotionally, and an emotional Lion is a frightful thing to see. There is no better time to examine your goals and the path you need to tread to get there. Just don’t take this journey out on the people who love you.

Virgo-“Should have, would have, could have”, these words are your mantra as you micromanage yourself and others into a state of anxiety. Maybe you need to feel the pain, before you make the gain, but geez, Virgo, give others a break. It is yourself that you need to change not others. Its makeover time for you!

Libra-You hate this but it is decision-making time. You’ve been enjoying the social scene of late and there is nothing wrong with that. Isn’t it time to, though, to get to work? Sorry to use a four letter word here, but you could be missing some powerful opportunities if you don’t pull you head out of the Tequila bottle. This can be a spectacular time for you to make some drastic changes that will ultimately benefit you.

Scorpio-You yearn to break free from past habits and establish a new
raison d’être, but other people refuse to accept your new identity. Some people say you have gone too far, other people not far enough, and though you care not for the opinions of others, you’d like to lose the damning sense that you just have not quite “got it”. Any change takes a while to “take”, Scorpio, so perhaps you should give yourself a break and take the adjustments one at a time.

Sagittarius-No worries for you Sagittarius, or is there. Certainly other people are yammering in your ear about what you should be doing. Other people encourage you to go over the edge in the other direction. The lesson, Archer, is to take hold of yourself and make the changes you desire.

Capricorn-You fret and fuss over the littlest things, making the OCD seem normal by comparison. This, despite the fact that everything is going swimmingly and you just shouldn’t have to worry about anything. Maybe it is time to figure out why you are just so hard on yourself.

Aquarius-You want to be recognized or your accomplishments, which isn’t likely to happen this year. You are working harder than ever, and seem to be treading water. Your finances hardly seem stable as you juggle one bill after another. So, what is to love about this next six months? Whether you believe or not, you are making powerful changes within yourself that not only makes you stronger, but a force to be reckoned with.

Pisces-If someone is trying to pull you down to Earth, dear Pisces, it is only for your own good. Your recent extravagances can come to no good end. While you may not realize it, the people who love you do. Please try to listen when someone is offering some good advice.

Debbi Kempton-Smith tells us in her book “Secrets from Stargazer’s Notebook” that eclipses “stir things up.” Perhaps this is why we perk up our ears when we hear that the six month eclipse cycle is ready to repeat itself. We had the first dose on the August 1, 2008 solar eclipse, now we go to round two for the lunar eclipse on August 16. Here is a short video that explains what makes a lunar eclipse.

Lunar eclipses always fall on a full moon, again another supposed harbinger of ill tidings. Sackoian and Acker in Predictive Astrology say this about the full moon:

“Ego confrontations over emotional issues can cause problems. Often there are upsets in domestic affairs. The individual is likely to experience difficulties with children. Lack of vitality or digestive problems are likely during this period. This is not a favorable time for social or romantic activities.”

Indeed this particular eclipse talks about the need for society’s approval (Sun in Leo) versus the need for self actualization (Moon in Aquarius). For the next six month’s our internal conflicts will roll around this issue. Unfortunately, as our sense of a lack of fulfillment grow, we may see others as the source of the problem. They are not. There comes a time when we have to accept responsibility for filling the holes in our own soul. With this eclipse this is an excellent time to examine this issue.

Even Hunter’s former lover, who based a party chick character on the real life antics of Hunter in his well known book “Story of My Life”, seems to forget exactly when he hooked back up with her.

McInerney said he lost track of Hunter after she moved to California. He was unaware she had moved back to Manhattan and was making videos for the Edwards presidential campaign last year, before the supermarket tabloid reported she was the former North Carolina senator’s mistress.

But:

In 2005, McInerney and Hunter met in Manhattan and discussed those days [her days in New York in the 80's]. A transcript of the discussion ran in Breathe Magazine that year.

And one journalist writes:

At lunch at the Soho House in late spring of ‘07, Rielle told me that she and novelist Jay McInerney were working on a “genius” idea for a television show about women who help men get out of failing marriages by having affairs with them. She said they wanted to pitch this idea to Darren Star, creator of “Melrose Place” and “Sex and the City.”

So McInerney, far from losing track of her, met up with her in 2005 and batted ideas around with her in Spring of 2007 about a potential television series.

Even Edwards staffers came up to the plate with obfuscations. Andrew Young, former Campaign finance manager claims to be the baby daddy of Hunter’s child, though this revelation from a family oriented North Carolinian has hardly dented his relationship with his wife. At first, when Hunter was pregnant, he, Hunter and his family lived in the same gated community in North Carolina, then all of them trucked out to California, where Hunter had her baby. But no father was named on the child’s birth certificate.

Even Hunter’s Website “Being is Free”, on which she discusses her party days and her search for spiritual enlightenment was taken down sometime after the first National Enquirer article was published in October of 2007. Access to archived shots of the site is blocked. If the affair was over in 2006, and the child not Edwards, why bother?

So who is Rielle Hunter, and why do people feel the need to lie about their relationship with her? What can astrology tell us?

Rielle Hunter’s birthdate came from her daughter’s birth certificate, and her birthplace is cited as Fort Lauderdale. While her birth time is not known, her facial features, long, thin, triangular, with her eyes high on her face, straight nose, thin lipped, and long pointed chin, fairly screams “Aries Ascendant”. This would give her Jupiter in Aries on the Ascendant, a twelfth house Sun in Pisces and a third house Moon in Gemini. We see an individual with a fairly weak sense of self, driven by excess of impulsive actions. With her Venus, the planet of her value systems, in tension aspect to her Neptune, and that Neptune in harmonious energetic connection with her Mars/Sun combination she is an individual who overly romanticizes much, including the men in her life. With at least three planets in her twelfth house of self undoing and her Sun and Mars in Pisces, she is her own worst enemy, unable to see issues clearly. She reacts to outside stimulus rather than providing a reasoned response.

This is confirmed by one description of her life in the Eighties :

A former pal of Hunter’s confirms her partying past saying she used to hang out at Nell’s nightclub where there was a big drug scene.

“She is one of millions of other girls, not smart enough to make it as a writer, not pretty enough to model or act.

“She was average in every way, except for her drugs and whacked-out sense of truth,” the friend said.

Her eighth house cusp is Scorpio, which demonstrates an interest in astrology, but she would not make her living at it. She shares no features demonstrated by professional astrologers, as indicated by a study by astrology researcher Terri McCartney. One journalist mentions that she let Rielle “do his chart”, so she can cast astrology charts. During her marriage in the nineties to lawyer Alexander M. Hunter, III, she tried her hand at screen and stage writing, with many of her titles based on astrological themes such as Jupiter, Where Are You?, So Very Virgo, Reality Reels, It’s All About Uranus. We can infer from all this that has a some proficiency with astrology and its complicated concepts.

After her divorce she spent the next four years in spiritual retreats until she tired of it. She says of those years,

she found spiritual enlightenment and gave up drugs and partying after moving to Los Angeles, admitting on her Web site, “I was in a state of ecstasy for about a week and realized what I was looking for, in terms of medication, was inside of me; it was a higher bliss.

“With that clearing, all desire for drugs or alcohol vanished. I became sober overnight.
“And then I became a spiritual seeker, addicted to a higher consciousness, addicted to enlightenment.”

And

Her purpose on this Earth, she said, was to help raise awareness . . ., to help the unenlightened become better reflections of their true, repressed selves.

Does that not describe to a “T” a twelfth house Pisces sun?

So we have a portrait of a woman who believes herself to be a “seeker of truth” and a teacher, verified both by astrology and her historical past, that is essentially directionless. Her “seeker of truth” persona is nullified by her illicit involvement with a married public figure, who only admitted this affair until it was no longer plausible to deny it. Far from being clear about her motives and desires, she fell into a relationship that was forbidden by society’s standards and should have been proscribed by her own “enlightenment”. Instead she fell into a Plutonic relationship, an addiction of its own, and managed to damage the career of a man she claims to love.

As someone who is knowledgeable about astrology, she should have realized that Edward’s Pluto in stress aspect to her Sun would come to no good end. (see chart below) or that with his planet of sexual drive, Mars, sitting on her Moon square Mars combination, the relationship was all about sex. Not a drop of “love” in it. With such a lack of self awareness about her own internal drives and the effect they have on other people it is no wonder that other people scramble to minimize or deny their relationship with her. Unfortunately, until she really wakes up, she is a train wreck waiting to happen in anyone’s life.
