Forecast For January: Slow and Steady Wins the Race

by Beth Turnage

January 9, 2007

We are all looking for love in all the wrong places as Venus is challenged by both Uranus and Saturn, who are in tension aspect with each other. If the home fires seemed banked this month, you are going to have to do some conscious stoking to smooth out edgy relationships. If you are single, best to examine why it is you are sitting on the bar stool or in front of the boob tube every night. When this T-square position breaks up, on January 12, we are still not home free as our neediness collides with our need for freedom. Attend to work and responsibilities with out letting this emotional drama derail you. Meanwhile those in power are sending out messages that we are likely to ignore. Expect tensions to grow around the twentieth of the month with our need for emotional security at odds with practical reality. On the twentieth we are itching for action, but just being the first out the gate won’t make you a winner. Slow and steady wins the race now.

New and interesting things come your way via your work and your intense curiosity. Short trips helps to alleviate your boredom. Keep a lid on finances. Overspending can cause some problems down the road. Don’t worry, be happy!

Taurus.jpg
The world is evenly divided by the people who want to help and hinder you. Check your facts. You are given contrary information, putting a monkey wrench in your plans. You are going to have to make this decision yourself.

Gemini.jpg
You are brimming with more than your share of nervous energy. Information is coming at you at a dizzying speeds. You are in your glory. Just don’t fail those that count on you this month. Mark your appointments religiously in your Day Timer.

Cancer.jpg
You tend to cling, dear Cancer, now you get to have someone cling onto you. Yes, it really is a lot of responsibility to take on. See how it feels? Check your bank balance, often.

Leo.jpg
Wheeling an dealing the same old way isn’t going to get you the results it has in the past. You become aware of the need to do things in a new way, but you feel you are entering a foreign country. The best way to learn the language is to immerse yourself in this new culture.

Virgo.jpg
You would think people would listen to your good sense, but that is not in the program now. Your friends confuse you with their scattered energies. Don’t run off into left field yourself as a friend drops the ball.

Libra.jpg
Places to go, people to see, things to do. It’s great to be you! Just don’t spend any money though. You’re in hock enough as it is. Bat your eyelashes and get your friends to pick up the check this month.

Scorpiobutton.jpg
You can’t count on anyone else right now, since your friends have all flaked out. Left alone, you don’t even have the pleasure of torturing your buddies. Spend some more time with your family. They’ve been missing you.

Sagittarius.jpg You are about as graceful as an ostrich right now, with the same proclivity to put your head in the sand about this situation. People want some real results right now and they are counting on you to produce them. Take care to dot your “i’s” and cross your “t’s”. People in authority are watching you.

Capricorn.jpg
All the world’s your oyster this month. Work is great and your stocks bring in some extra cash. This month you are the teflon employee. Even your mistakes make you look like an angel. Enjoy it while you can.

Aquarius.jpg
If you apply yourself, your projects will produce some real results. You are able to take charge and show your leaderships qualities. What a change from the previous year. Take care not to tax your nervous system with overwork. Whew!

Pisces.jpg
Family is there for you to help you through some rough patches. You have the opportunity to either secure a new job or secure a raise, but you do have to focus on these areas to yield results. Money doesn’t grow on trees, but it does grow in your bank account. Keep it there.
