It’s A Question of Timing
November 12, 2007

My fiance and I have been wanting to tie the knot but we both keep putting it
off. Should I just realize that he’s just not the marrying type?
His bday is December 7th, 1971
Mine is March 7th, 1972 2:59 am
Looking at both of your charts I would say that since both of you have such similar fears about how any long term relationship would work out, you fuel and feed each other’s insecurties in that area. He has Saturn opposite his Sun, you have Saturn opposite your moon. You don’t worry at all, do you? With configurations like that both of you are concerned that your partner is going to fail you. That, coupled with a realization that both of you are not financially ready to for this type of commitment puts up plenty of red lights for both of you.
You two are well matched with his Sun falling on your moon, his moon trine (by sign, not degree) your moon, his Venus on your Jupiter (lots of love and kisses) his Mars on your Sun (you two are great buddies) so it probably all the more mystifying that things aren’t progressing faster. In fact, looking at the composite chart, the only things you two fight about is how close you should be and whether or not marriage is “practical”.
Can you wait a couple years, when Saturn goes into Libra? That will support the strengthening of long term ties through marriage, with Saturn sextile your respective Sun/Moon combination. Marriage now will only aggravate the feeling that marriage is burden to be endured, rather than the joyful sharing of two souls.
If you were to break up with him, you’d have to wait just a long to get married, and you might not find someone you get along with as well as your fiance.
Does all this make sense to you?

Beth,
OMG I’m so sorry I didn’t know that you did a reading for us. I completely understand what you mean.
We did get married but will probably have the official one when we can afford it.
