Mars in the Driver’s Seat

Backpedaling Mars in Cancer roars like a lion in this week’s aspects. Forming a tension aspect by degree if not by sign in with Pluto conjuct the Sagittarian sun and Jupiter and Mercury crossing over to the sign of Capricorn, we are strung tighter than violin and whining just as much.

Though Mars in Cancer is said to be a weak position, the oppostion to Pluto in Sagittarius gives it more power than it should have. With Cancer we are concerned with all things relating to the home and our inner emotional needs. Sagittarius is concerned with everything but. This is a set up for a holiday season that it is stretched thin in the holiday cheer department because the financial circumstances of so many people are strained.

Things are just things afterall, but there is a sense, in the United States, that things are definately off kilter. Though there are islands of Conservative Conclaves, the rest of America just isn’t buying that our ship is on the right course. Urged for the past few years to “stay the course”, the dramatic increases of gasoline and heating oil prices and mortgage foreclosures is making the “American dream” the “Impossible Dream.” In a season where even Santa has to tighten his belt, the sense is that we are not getting what we deserve and we are not happy!

With Jupiter and Mercury moving in the sign of restrictions and limitations, we are going to hear talk about how we are just going to have to buck up and make the best of it. The irony is Mars in Cancer is going to “make a man” out of all of us.

For the upcoming week:

Sagittarius, Leo and Aries, as usual you overstretch yourselves and your credit cards. You really do deserve those reproving looks from your partner.

Aquarius, Gemini and Libra, you work and work, but no matter how hard you try you just can’t seem to get it all done. Please relax, dear Air signs, so you come out of the holiday without a trip to the doctor.

Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, you don’t like being pushed and you don’t like people telling you what to do. What to do? Find something to do that you want to.

Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, no one is moving fast enough for you, content to let you do all the work. Suffering in silence only denies them the experience of doing for themselves. Think of that, when you issue your gentle reminders.
