May’s Monthly Forecast

by Beth Turnage

April 30, 2008
ZodiacWheelColorAries.jpgOK, it is confirmed. The world is against you. What are going to do about it? There is no sense grumbling that other people have it easier than you. The truth is, you’ve been skating by for so long without using all your natural talents, you’ve come to expect that the Universe is going to provide for your every need. Time to pay the piper, Aries. This may mean digging a little deeper, or working a little harder to get what you want. If you have to do all this without getting the recognition for your efforts that you expect, well, that’s just another lesson for you to learn in a month full of them.

Taurus.jpgWith sensuous Venus in your sign forming a power triangle with Pluto and Saturn, you feel as if you are on top of the world. You are. There are a couple things to watch this month though, a tendency to burn the midnight oil and stress yourself out with overwork. Also you need to watch a tendency to say some unfortunate things to those in authority, Try not to let your good fortune go to your head and you’ll be just fine.

Gemini.jpgMy friend, out of all the possibilities this month, you pick the most outré. You think you are being witty and bright when you are merely being obnoxious. When someone in authority tells you to clean up your act, you don’t take it well. Gemini, you are usually such a light hearted soul, why don’t you lighten up and let your Sun shine through? The only thing that shouldn’t see the light of day is your credit card, which you should tuck safely away until a better day.

Cancer.jpgThis is an excellent time to explore your individuality by helping others. Your natural ability to nurture, guide and protect leads you to uncover things about yourself that you barely knew. If you are doing fundraising, this is an excellent time to tap new sources, spreading around your charm to help a worthy cause. In any case, don’t let an overbearing “friend” tell you what to do. Just smile sweetly and let them wonder what you are up to and go on your merry way.

Leo.jpgWhen the sign of the bull rides high in the sky, the Lion needs to take a step back. This may not be to your liking, your majesty, but with a tension aspect with the Lord of Deception joining a challenge aspect to Taurus to bedevil you this month, you find your usual charms fail to sway. Instead of being seen as naturally deserving of adulation, you are seen as being obnoxiously demanding attention. Part of this is due to the planet of action, Mars, slipping into your sign mid-month making a stress aspect to the planet of power and power brokers, Pluto. It would be useful to utilize this time to evaluate how your actions affect others. Royalty should be aware of this before they attempt to rule.

Virgo.jpgYou have two choices this month, either to enjoy the fruits of your hard work or to get swept up in the drama of the chaos of someone else’s life. Which one sounds more fun to you? Tempted as you are to help one of your friends or relatives through their crisis de jour, why don’t you save yourself some stress and just say “no”? It is their job after all to look after their own affairs. It this person is a teenager, then by all means make them accountable for their actions, and set up the appropriate intervention, but step back and let them work out their own solution.

Libra.jpgWith your destiny at hand you are like a deer in the headlights. Faced with an opportunity to move along with a secret ambition or woe your hearts desire, you falter, even more unsure than usual if you are doing the right thing. You are afraid that you lose some security in making the next move, but make a move you must, or you’ll forever mull over the “one that got away.”

Scorpiobutton.jpgYour rainy day fund just dried up and you have the rent to pay, literally and figuratively. Have you gone too far out on a limb to chase your dream? It doesn’t help when you have one friend telling you one thing and another friend another. Haven’t you figured out that neither one of them knows what they are talking about? Anyway, Scorpio, do the unexpected and shake up the status quo. You’ll know what to do.

Sagittarius.jpgYou’ve gone and done it now and someone can hand you your walking papers. Either you were caught with your hand in the cookie jar or a bed where you didn’t belong. If you haven’t been found out yet, back peddle as fast you can to a point in the past where your motives were pure and your methods true. If you are really good, you’ll have the chance to act all noble and come out smelling like a rose. If you aren’t, you’ll stink to high heaven. Your choice. .

Capricorn.jpgYou are caught between someone’s grandiose plans for the future and someone else’s power plays. Or is that just you, trying to steal the show and mucking it up good? Though you have a solid idea of how things are suppose to play out, the other people in the project stress you out with conflicting plans and agenda’s. How to rope in these rodeo calves? You work best behind the scenes, pulling the strings to get each player to perform their proper role. Remember that when you want to take the lead on the stage.

Aquarius.jpgYou’ll be overwhelmed with lots of social invitations, Aquarius, and you hardly know which ones to accept. Besides receiving mixed signals from the people in charge, you’ve got a bunch of people giving you conflicting information. If you resist the urge to steal the show, and tell everyone where to get off, you just may get through this month just fine.

Pisces.jpgYou are likely to be in the right place at the right time, though you hardly recognize this. There is an element in your actions of being off center, or off kilter. The problem is that you are not handling your day to day activities in a less than efficient manner, hardly a surprise to Pisces. You are overwhelmed, this month, with an abundance of responsibilities and the Universe demands that you pull your head out of the clouds. Partnerships are troubling as miscommunication after miscommunication pile up. Perhaps you should watch what you say and say what you mean, within reason of course. You might also want to cut your partner some slack, as he or she is only trying to help you. Let them.
