Moon Signs in Love

Moon_3.jpgOur moon sign is our emotional substance, what we need to feel secure and happy. It is said that when we are the most hurt, most vulnerable, we’ve been hit in our Moon sign. When we go against our basic needs, accept something that is less than what our natures demand, we are setting ourselves for heartache. To find your moon sign, go here.

An Aries Moon person needs to have three things– the freedom to come and go, someone who doesn’t deliberately kick up feelings of jealousy (they can do this all on their own) and someone who knows how to keep the challenge of the hunt going even through a long relationship. Things are always best for the Aries moon if the object of their affection is a tad out of reach.

The Taurus moon needs material and emotional security, patience and loyalty. This moon sign takes a long time to come around to making a commitment. Once they say “I do you aren’t going anywhere unless you fail to provide the things they most need.

The Gemini moon needs lots of face time, phone time and time to go where they want to. This is a socially oriented moon, so it you are a moody loner stuck on one of these moons prepare to spend more time alone. If you don’t have friends, there is something wrong with you, these moons reason. If you fail to provide enough mental and social stimulation, you’ll find yourself digging out your little black book again. They certainly will have.

The Cancer moon needs someone to nourish their considerable emotional needs. They have an infinite capacity for love, but they have a hard time understanding when other people can’t match their intensity or depth of emotion. They get terribly frightened when it seems like you don’t love them enough. Fiercely loyal and protective of their loved ones, they don’t want to feel that what they give isn’t given back.

Leo Moon- this moon sign needs plenty of stroking in the verbal and physical arena. Fiercely proud, they need to feel they are number one in your life. If they aren’t, they will find someone who will make them so. They also need a partner that reflects their taste, refinement and social status. You needn’t call back if you don’t. They certainly won’t.

Libra Moon–first and foremost this moon needs harmony on the home front. Tension and worry make a ragged mess out of these gentle souls. They are a whizz in saying just the right things at the right time to smooth things over, but don’t be fooled into thinking that you know what they are feeling. Actually, they don’t know what they are feeling. There is, though, one thing Libra moons know. They need to have a partner. They’ll keep partnering up until they find a keeper.

Virgo Moon–above all these moons need to feel they are being useful. They’ll do anything for you and once they’ve done that, they will start on their next home improvement project–you. Its for your own good you see, the reminders to do this or that, lose the weight, drink the healthy smoothie they’ve just made for you. They expect their attentions will be rewarded with nothing less than adoration for their beauty and intelligence. Don’t disappoint.

Scorpio Moons–They know things they shouldn’t know because either they’ve investigated the situation thoroughly or plucked the answer out of the ether. They have a sure and certain sense of the surreal nature of reality that makes them highly attuned to their immediate surroundings and highly suspicious of it at the same time. They are incredibly sensitive to criticism but will never let you know it. They wouldn’t want you to know about one of their weak spots. They love passionately, but usually give their heart to someone they’ve idealized way too much.

Sagittarius Moon–If you want to boogey-woogey, the Sagittarius moon person is the one to do it with. These light hearted souls need to keep it light with or without the lights on. They also need big dreams or a big ideal to live their life. If you embody a one of their higher ideas, like freedom, justice or truth, then they fall madly in love with you. But don’t bother to keep tabs or keep the light on for them. They chaff at any relationship that stifles their freedom to come or go.

Capricorn Moons–This moon sign, like the other earth signs, needs security in their relationships. Security for them is knowing that someone else will not betray their innermost needs, which they consider weaknesses that someone could exploit. They fear the intensity of their emotions will be used against them. For this reason many Capricorn moons hold back on real intimacy in their relationships. If they find someone they can trust, they hardly know what to do with them. Tread lightly, keep their secrets and never use that they need you more than you need them against them.

Aquarius Moon–Another social air sign, Aquarius moon has three needs, friendship, loyalty and freedom, though not necessarily in that order at any particular time. This a sign that tends to think through their feelings and consequently has a hard time understanding yours. You have to be their friend before you become their lover, though the friend/lover thing are interchangeable parts on their love engine. Big on equality, they have a hard time parsing that some relationships are more equal than others. They’ll go to hell and back for you, but be prepared to do the same for them.

Pisces Moon–This moon sign needs to feel that the world is not so harsh after all. If you can make them feel that, give them roses for the heck of it, whisper sweet nothings and make sure they don’t have to worry about the little things in life, like paying the rent, they’ll be stuck on you. They’ll make sure that your love nest is cozy, and dinner is on the table, though they won’t necessarily prepare it themselves. Living well is an art, you see, and the most eclectic of these people will make even a tiny walkup seem like a palace. Squash reality in their face however and you’ll face the prospect of the world not being such a pretty place.
