New Year’s Resolutions by Zodiac Signs

by Beth Turnage

December 31, 2008

You’ve been putting it off, I know. You haven’t come up with a good, really good New Year’s Resolution. Well, let this astrologer take the onus of that right off your your shoulders. I’ve looked at the stars very carefully, and I know what you need to do to make 2009 a sterling year.

Aries–Promise to be very, very, very good this year and you just may get what you want. The fact is, you’ve been concentrating so hard on being your old bad self, that any positive change in behavior is likely to be greeted with bells, whistles and a confetti parade.

Taurus–Its simple, really. Have faith in yourself. Taurus, you’ve been concentrating so hard on how you don’t measure up, you been ignoring where you do. You have the power this year to make dreams into reality, so go on and just do it!

Gemini–Resolve not to stretch the truth, even just a little. Actions speak louder than words this year, so let your actions speak for themselves.

Cancer–You are so involved in the lives of the people around you, that you do too much for them. But when you spend so much time taking care of other people, you don’t have much time to take care of yourself. Resolve to set appropriate boundaries.

Leo–This year resolve to embrace new ideas and methods. The best and brightest are on the cutting edge of change, and to stay ahead you should make yourself one of those people.

Virgo–Let go of your fear of the unpredictable. When it all comes down to it, few of us know what is going to happen anyway. Resolve to go with the flow.

Libra–Put away those credit cards and pay down your debt. This means you, Libra. And don’t bat your extraordinarily long eyelashes at me.

Scorpio–Use your superpowers for good, not evil, Scorpio. People do love the good guys.

Sagittarius–Resolve to put in more hours at the office. Whether or not you want to, you need to.

Capricorn–Appreciate your real talents more. Maybe when you feel better about yourself you can show the people around you how much you appreciate them. They really would like to know.

Aquarius–Resolve to keep your feet on the ground even as the Universe takes you on a mad thrill ride this year. Keep your center so you don’t lose your balance.

Pisces–Resolve not to whine. The Universe expects a lot of you this year which may have you feeling overwhelmed. No one wants to hear it, and all this work is for your own good anyway.
