Quaoar: Your Ability to Manifest Your Reality

by Beth Turnage

February 13, 2008
Quaoar_Artist_ViewThe smallest of the Kuiper Belt objects discovered Quaoar (kwaa’·waar or kwow’·ər) is approximately one tenth the size of the earth and takes two hundred and eighty seven years to complete an orbit around the Sun. With all these baby and dwarf planets recently discovered, astrologers have barely had a chance to catch our collective breath. We are only beginning to scratch the surface on how these planetary bodies work in our chart. We don’t have a definition of Quaoar yet, but when I read the myth of Quaoar over at Karma Astrology I got very excited.

“‘Quaoar’ the great force of creation of the Tongva people sings and dances the high ones (Deities) into existence. While Quaoar has no form or gender he is usually referred to with the male pronoun.

. . . the Eastern tradition speaks of an unknowable and undefinable Something which is beyond words, not to mention gender, number, and case.

Whatever It is, this great Undefinable Whatever, and for who-knows-what unfathomable reasons, manifests universes from time to time (assuming the universe in question possesses time as we know it). Theoretically, there could be an infinite number of universes, provided an inventory could be taken of such things (and don’t be hasty about taking off your shoes and socks to start counting–this is trickier stuff than you could imagine).

In any event when It decides to manifest a universe, our Undefinable Whatever first brings forth a Creator God whose purpose is to create and sometimes maintain the specific universe in question. This Creator God (Ishvara is one name often bandied about for the Creator God of the universe you and I are currently living in) is imbued with the skills and capabilities to generate the designated universe into existence. . .The Tongva people’s creation myth is almost an exact parallel of this story. Quaoar is the name given to the Creator God

So for the first time in human existence is a symbol has come into being that allows us to directly access our ability to manifest our reality without the use of super or extra natural means.

Previously and up to this point, Manifestation was achieved through extra natural means such as, black and white magic, kabbalistic magic, shamanism and all esoteric practices that taught that we are the masters of our own destiny. It was considered an outgrowth of stepping onto the spiritual path, taking a different road divergent from the mass of humanity.

No more. Though The Law of Attraction is well known in New Age circles, now since the discovery of Quaoar, it is being mainstreamed, most notably through the movie, The Secret and the subsequent outgrowth of products related to this concept.

Yes, folks, we are our own creator gods, and we, every single one of us, are ultimately responsible for the state of our own universe. Ain’t that a kick in the head!

If you want to look up where Quaoar is your chart go to the Ephemeris of Quaoar and scroll down to the time around your birthday and use that sign and degree. Unless you are a Virgo, you don’t need to do any corrections for the seconds, it is that slow moving in your chart.

There will be more about Quaoar on this Saturday’s post.
