Saturn Return: What do I want to be . . .

by Beth Turnage

Reader__sQuestion_1.jpg

As you can see I’ll be 30 years old in a few months and something interesting I found (through song lyrics actually) about Saturn ascending to the exact place it was when you were born every 30 years or so. I was just wondering what sort of implications that had and if there was a way you could tell exactly when that might happen for me.

I’m sort of trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I have a great life “on paper,” but I guess I just feel like something is missing. I’ve spent too much time already on people, places and things that haven’t really helped me grow, so I feel like I really want to make my next decisions carefully… I’m just not sure what those decisions will be. So telling is the comment “what I want to be when I grow up . . . ” Yes, that is the Saturn Return. It is a major life transit, and yes the decisions you make under these stars will affect the rest of your life.

You are forturnate to have so many good things in your life. Why isn’t it enough?

Your Sun in Scorpio is sitting on top the planet Uranus. Uranus is about expressing yourself as an individual within the context of society. Often people who have “all the right things” are reluctant to push the envelope with their desires fearing to lose what the place in society they already have.

An added pressure is Uranus as it is traveling in the heavens right now is opposing your very practical moon in Virgo. This transit is going to be there for some time to come, so the roles you cherish in society are going to be challenged! It is entirely possible you will be facing situations that will redefine your ideas of a woman’s place in society, with you ultimately emerging as a stronger, more confident individual.

I suspect that you have some tremendous ideas bubbling inside of you right now that you are not taking very seriously because they seem to be “crazy”! Listen to that “small voice” inside you that urges you to explore your mystical and spiritual side to which you have not paid much attention. Looking at your chart, I see the potential for you to be a fine astrologer yourself. Even if that isn’t the final path you take, the journey itself will satisfy your Scorpionic urgings to explore the underpinnings of life.

A birth date is a good starting point, and we can do a general reading. However, you really have to take a third off for accuracy for each the following: birthplace and birthtime.
