Scorpio’s Year Ahead, part 1

by Beth Turnage

October 29, 2007
Scorpio.jpgAstrologer’s Note: Sun sign astrology, that is astrology based only on your sun at the time of your birth gets a bad rap from astrologers in general for a good reason. The sun, although a very important part of your make-up, is just one of many factors on which to base a prediction. But people like horoscopes. Just about everyone knows “their sign” and more than one of you sneak a peek at your daily ’scope in your local newspaper. So in that vein, here is the first part of Scorpio’s Year Ahead.

Your Theme This Year: Favorable energetic connections betweem your sun and quirky Uranus allows you to explore personal freedom and individuality, as well as develop your spiritual side. Scorpio rarely feels this unfettered, so the feeling is a little heady. Its easy for this rush to the head to allow you to act in fashion that is inconsiderate towards others. It is to your benefit to pay attention to how you are treating others so you don’t suffer a nasty backlash later in the year.

November 2007–When Venus, the planet of money and Saturn the planet of career, makes easy enegetic connections to your sun, you have an opportunity to make more money by taking on additional responsibilites. You may feel like you are hanging on a hook until you hear the good news, which will come the later half of the month.

December 2007–True love or least true lust will make your holidays brighter. You may find out first hand what “love at first sight” is all about. Merry Christmas!

January 2008–You thought the previous two months were great, but now things seem to get only better as the planet of plenty, Jupiter, makes the easy energetic connection, the sextile, to your sun. Though is is up to you to take advantage of the opportunities present, there is a possibility to move forward if you sieze the day. However, you may feel like you have two much of good thing as you are pulled in two directions and you can’t make a decision which direction to take. Follow the yellow brick road.

February 2008–After your fantastic run of luck the previous three months, you’ll be taken aback at some unexpected shocks and jolts in your world. Two people to rely on in this period is a father figure and your sweetie to help keep you steady.

March 2008–Mars makes the easy energetic connection, the trine to your sun, giving you the green light again. Are you making the right decisions? You are not sure now, but you will be. You feel like you’ve taken on too many responsibilities too soon, but believe or not, Scorpio, you are up for the task. Believe in yourself.

April 2008–Doubts about your present course remain as things move more quickly than you would like. Ruled by the iron fisted planet Pluto, Scorpio likes to be in control and it is very upsetting to you when you’re not. Take a deep breath and ride the wave.
