In parts one and two of this series we looked at a number of clues, and narrowed down some dates. In this last part we will use the process of rectification, that is, matching dates of key events to the suspect charts, looking at how well those fit generally used astrological principals. From there we will decide which “birth date” works.
One roadblock in this process is that sports enthusiasts’ sense of history seems to be confined to a list of years, not actual dates, so it took me quite a while to locate a knowledgeable and useful source. Thank you to Sports Encyclopedia.com for providing a great site on sports history.
From this site I chose two significant dates, the 1947 NFL Championship win, December 28, 1947 and the day the NFL approved the move to Arizona, March 15, 1988. The third date I used was last Sunday’s NFL Title clincher.
Of the three dates I initially chose, in reviewing the charts, I rejected the last one. Only one thing seemed to fit, and that is not enough. So we are left with two dates, Oct 23, 1898 and October 30, 1898.
Comparing the October 23 date to the last Sunday’s win, the transiting moon sits on top to the Scorpio Sun and Mercury. When the moon as it moves through the sky hits the point of your birth Sun, which it does every month, that is a “power day” for you, so that makes sense in terms of a win. The birth moon in the zodiac sign of Aquarius and it is sitting along with the South Node of the moon, a point which indicating that you are repeating past patterns.
The next date is the NFL League officially approved the move to Arizona. The transiting Moon is sitting with the birth moon in the zodiac sign of Aquarius. Aquarius mixed up with Moon, which represents home base, can indicate frequent changes, which certainly tracks with the Cardinal’s history. Transiting Pluto, the planet of transformation, connects harmoniously with the Part of Fortune, that sensitive area in your chart that shows where you are lucky. A whole flock of planets converge on that North Node in Capricorn, again, another area indicating luck and fortuitous moments.
The last date I looked at was the 1947 NFL Championship win. Here we see many more connections. Transiting Mercury and the Sun as sitting with (conjunct) the North Node again. The transiting Moon is sitting on the birth Mars in Cancer, energizing an otherwise lackluster Mars position. The planet of Luck and Abundance, Jupiter is sitting on top of Venus, prodding the Cardinals to show the world what they got.
The second date, October 30, has many of the same connection, because the date is so close to the other, with a notable exception. The birth moon of this date is in the sign of Taurus and it just doesn’t seem to be engaged in the activities of the Cardinals. Plus, a moon in the solid and reliable sign of Taurus argues against many moves and changes of name. Taurus resists change and this is not the Cardinal’s history.
But what clinched the October 23 date in my mind is this bit from Cardinal’s history:
Before the Cardinals could make their first NFL post-season game appearance they had to beat their cross-town nemeses, the Chicago Bears, in the final game of the regular season to clinch the Western Division. In the title game, on a frozen Comiskey Park field, the Cardinals earned a substantial advantage by wearing sneakers, while the Eagles struggled with traditional cleats.
By taking the route of the unconventional on that day, the Cardinals showed their true colors and their true birth date, the date the Moon was in the sign of the rebel, Aquarius. October 23, 1898 is most likely the first date this team threw the ball down the gridiron to their opponents.
