The Astrology of Saturn: Fear and Loathing Not Just in Vegas

If you want the nitty-gritty on someone, where they live, but prefer not to, you need to take a look at their Saturn points. Saturn in your natal chart, a planet in Capricorn, the house that has Capricorn on the cusp, are the places where we experience fear and loathing. Like a scary scene in a horror movie we hide our faces so we don’t get too freaked out.

Where the Taskmaster holds court is where Daddy didn’t love us enough, where we fear we don’t measure up. Because of the fear factor, it is also the place where we can fail to see important truths about ourselves.

I recently had a conversation with someone about their Saturn. I made a comment about their Saturn qualities, that they were an important resource. “Can you explain that? the person said, “I feel like I’m missing something here.”

Exactly.

Its not as if we don’t get the point, we don’t want to look at the point in the first place. The first messages we receive from Saturn are filled with so much pain we avoid then as much as possible.

Here are some Saturn in a zodiac sign messages. If you don’t know your Saturn sign, go here to get it. Then see if one of the descriptions below apply to you.

Aries: You’ll never be brave enough. You’ll fail because you are afraid.
Taurus: You never work hard enough. You’ll never amount to anything.
Gemini: You’ll never be smart enough. Everyone else is much smarter than you.
Cancer: You are not loveable enough. Mommy has every right to dislike you.
Leo: You can’t lead anything or anyone. You are wrong to believe that you could.
Virgo: You’ll never get anything right. Everyone else does things much better than you.
Libra: No one really likes you.
Scorpio: You’re a wuss for feeling things so deeply. People would take advantage of you if they knew how much you care.
Sagittarius: You are afraid of losing your freedom and you are afraid of being alone.
Capricorn: Daddy always said you’d never amount to anything. You are afraid he is right.
Aquarius: No one would really like you if they knew how different you are.
Pisces: You fear you are going to hell. You think you aren’t worthy of God’s love.

They are all lies of course. Saturn is not called the Great Teacher, The Taskmaster, for nothing. When you examine the root cause of your fears and understand them, you release the power these fears have on your life. Then Saturn becomes your ally, instead of the place of your fear and loathing.
