A reader asks:

Hello, my birth date is October 7, 1958, place: Atlanta, GA at 8:43pm. How does your astrology report for Libra make sense for someone who does not have children?

And she’s right, because this is what I wrote:

Libra—Big concerns on the home front keep you occupied. Children may have gotten themselves in over their head with a task that should have been performed but wasn’t. Or they are looking for some major support on your part for something that is their responsibility. Libra knows how to smooth things over, but when it comes to your kids you are something of a pushover. Learning to so “no” is as much as lesson for you as it is for them to hear it.

What I was looking at was Mercury in Libra. Mercury talks about young people, but is also about communications and currency. So let’s take young people out of the equation, and substitute communications and currency, and we come up with this:

Big concerns on the home front keep you occupied. Communications that should have happened didn’t or that someone wants you to take on something that is their responsibility. Maybe someone is looking to borrow some money and thinks you are a soft touch. Libra knows how to smooth things over with your friends, but you can be something of a pushover. Learning to say “no” is as much as lesson for you as the people that hear it.

In looking at this person’s chart, though, one wonders at the declaration that she has no children, considering there is three planets in the fifth house, and the fertile sign of Virgo on the cusp of the fifth. Is this an instance where this individual has made their creative pursuits her “children?” In any case, it is likely that someone has hit the reader up for a small loan or she need to float some cash to cover the expenses of a business venture, something should not have been her responsibility.

In any case, Sun sign horoscopes are meant to be a quick snapshot for the week and they can’t cover all circumstances. I hate to make them so general as to be meaningless, so if you don’t see something that strikes a chord this week, look ahead to next. I put them up every week.

Hi Beth,

Thank you for your response! Yes, communications seems to be an issue for me at the moment since my business has stagnated and so I am currently re-wording some pages. A relationship has been my heart’s desire but I have yet to meet this man! And so I am visualizing and feeling him in my life as my partner, lover, friend.
