The Slippery Slope

Expression! Action! Freedom! Like a bolt from the blue, the water signs, Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer declare these words as their mantras for the week. As if we’d notice. These people live a rich inner life full of fantasies and desires that are rarely expressed to others. The most we might be might be shown is an aimless restlessness, or a few ill placed words of sarcasm. We really need to sit up an take notice, take a temperature, or take the bus out of town, because we are unlikely to emerge unscathed from the water signs’ current quest.

What is happening is that the Sun in Scorpio, Mars in Cancer, and Uranus in Pisces form the powerful energetic connection, the Grand Trine. This power hookup fuels a desire in these signs to find the “Meaning of Life.? Of course, these answers are always elusive, people spending lifetimes to parse this out, so it can hardly be done in a week. Being as they are creatures driven by their emotions, this will not stop them. They are being flooded by enticing energies of cosmic proportions that tease and titillate them into believing that the answers are right there at their fingertips. Like the mother on a three step ladder, standing on tip toes, feeling the top shelf that holds the last ingredient for dinner, they reach for what they can not see, certain it is right there.

Maybe we should steady that ladder for them or give them a twelve step ladder. It is OK to encourage prayer, suggest a visit to Sunday services, give them an inspirational book or gift certificate to some NIA classes, or even take them to an AA meeting. However anything else, like a debauched weekend of sex and drugs or an excursion into occult practices, is likely to send them down the slippery slope. Why? Because Uranus, part of these cozy threesome, on the fourth, comes into the tension aspect, the opposition, to the planet of responsibility Saturn. sending their pretty dreams crashing into the cold hard light of reality. Improperly handled on our parts, the water signs in our life are apt to end up as puddles of weepy emotion. Gentle and loving support, with a firm hand on their elbow will get us all through this week in one piece.

For the coming week:

Scorpio, Cancer, Pisces, while you delve into life’s essential answers, take a breath and a look around. Other people just aren’t quite so willing to indulge your current quest for spiritual evolvement.

Aquarius and Leo, Everything makes perfect sense, until you try to express your ideas. The moment of inspiration fades you came up against unexpected opposition. Write it down. You can use these ideas later.

Libra and Aries, on the sixth and the seventh, everything makes sense, though the rest of the week is an incalculable mess. You tend to think through your feelings, so all this emoting from other signs leaves drained. Hang with the powerful for clarity.

Virgo and Capricorn–OK, your love life just isn’t moving along as you like. Maybe you should take a look at what your really want as opposed to what you think you desire. Maybe it would help if you pull that nose of yours up from the grindstone.

Taurus–Things have been going so great, but all of sudden people get in your way. The Bull’s usual response is to run them over, but practice your legendary patience. You find out way in the days ahead.

Gemini and Sagittarius–There is no sense in having power if you can’t use it. The only people interested in what you have to offer are Aquarius, Libra and Gemini and even they tend to drift off after they hear what you have to say. Seeing that you have other issues to tend to, like those credit cards eating at paycheck, maybe you should focus on those things right now.
