Twisted

VenusinScorpio2.jpgThe big astrological event today is Venus’s entrance in the sexy, powerful sign of Scorpio. While some might celebrate this harbinger of amour filled nights, others realize that this placement is the foretelling of strange things ahead.

Venus in Scorpio is in its sign of detriment. Venus’ gentle and affectionate nature is twisted in Scorpionic drives for power and control. Scorpio lives heart beat to heat beat with a sure and certain sense of the illusionary nature of existence. Like a drowning man, Scorpio grabs the material world in a stranglehold to construct a sense of security. This gives rise to negative expressions in the forms of anger, controlling behavior, jealousy, manipulation, secret dealings and affairs. It is important to remember that as much as Scorpio trys to control the environment, Scorpio gets kicked in the teeth when the back-handed machinations are revealed.

For people living this configuration in their natal chart, this a time that activates their deepest fears about intimacy. Trust is an issue for these natives. For this reason they often pick the wrong person to love. In a strange way, if they know the person they have is unworthy, then the Universe can’t lie to them. Now this month they get the results of their distrust of Universal forces, and it isn’t going to be pretty.

People who live with these individuals should take a deep breath and not react. For as much as these individuals try to control, they have difficulty controlling themselves.

Venus advances a little more than a degree each day through the horoscope. For now, through the 19th of the month Venus will trine Mars and on the 14th make a grand trine with Mars and Uranus. Though a trine indicates an easy flow of energy, this doesn’t necessarily make it a good thing. The aggressive Martian and unpredictable Uranian influence kicks up the Scorpionic tendencies, making for an overly stressed Venus, with the possibility of using its energies to a bad end.

This month, each of us needs to be circumspect in our motives and our actions. We should think before we act, and gauge our actions against high spiritual ideals. If we feel the need to fight, take a walk, if we feel the need to argue, make an apology, if we feel the need to control, let it go. All of this demands a conscious effort on our part to be the best person we can be. Whew!
