Understanding the difference between sun signs and moon signs
Chances are if you’re here then you know a bit about astrology. But lets just take a step back and take a look at the basics. Most everyone has heard of sun signs but what is a sun sign? The sun sign means where the Sun was positioned at the time you were born, in one of the twelve zodiac signs, and the moon sign is where the moon was positioned at the time you were born. Some believe that the moon signs is a more accurate way to do charts and horoscopes as the moon changes signs in 48 to 54 hours where the Sun changes signs every 30 days. Sun signs are the same for all people born within a 30-day period where the moon signs are more detailed to each person due to the constant changing of signs every 2 days. My Sun sign is Capricorn and my Moon Sign is Gemini. My personality is much more like a Gemini. Capricorn gives a good overall description of my personality but Gemini give great detail as to what make me tick. Now when looking at the signs for compatibility, I just listed basic ones for sun signs. For a more detailed version you may want to look at both your moon signs and your partners. My husband and I show non-compatible with just sun signs but a more detailed look shows us a good match given our moon signs. We have been together 17 years and still going strong. We can still be seen holding hands and acting like we are just dating.
