Weekly Astrology Forecast: A Bit of Practical Magic

by Beth Turnage

December 19, 2008

Looking for a Sugar Daddy? Well, Momma, the only sugar you are going to find is what’s in your Christmas stocking this week. Even the jolly old elf, Santa, is going to be a little light in the wallet on Christmas day. Good thing that this is supposed to be a religious holiday. Get those New Year’s prayers in early, folks. We are all going to need some Divine Intervention as the financial markets make their final corrections for the year. Is 2009 going to be any better? Will let you know next week, when I publish the forecasts for the New Year. But here is a hint. That Uranus/Saturn opposition isn’t going away anytime soon. Just about when it is time to, we all experience a hint of our spiritual destiny. The events of October 2009 are going to shape our lives for years to come. But we get ahead ourselves, so lets finish out 2008 with what grace we can, knowing that there is more to us than the size of our bank accounts or the surety of our jobs. God loves each and every one of us, so let’s show some big love back. Dig out those coins from the bottom of your purse, put your fingers on that wayward dollar in the pocket of one your suits and give it away like you are Bill Gates. Is a bit of practical magic. Whatever you give away freely comes back to you seven fold. And we all need that, don’t we?

Aries—You just aren’t getting away with it, and you are not “getting it” either Ram. Somehow it doesn’t occur to you that people really do need you. If you want a little love, you are going to have to “be there” for the people that count. Otherwise, this Christmas, you are apt to get that proverbial lump of coal, hardly enough to keep you warm these chilly nights.

Taurus—Overzealous Christmas spending has left you at the mercy of unexpected expenses. Don’t tell me you forgot to look at the oil tank gauge again! Fortunately, you always keep a little aside for rainy days, and while the snow flies, you’re covered. However, its time to take a good look at your budget to see what you can do to keep your nest egg intact.

Gemini—Your nerves are kicked up into overdrive as you rush around trying to wrap up all those last minute holiday details. Who are you kidding, Gemini, you haven’t even started your shopping yet! Fortunately for you, procrastination yields you shopping rewards as retailers deep discount to unload their Christmas inventories. Hits those malls!

Cancer—You are prone to unaccountable fits of anxiety as you are having difficulty processing the information you are given. You are not sure if you are doing too much or not enough. Take some deep breaths. Make a to do list. Prioritize it. When you have a plan to conquer the top three things, the rest fall into place.

Leo—At least you are having fun, Leo. As if you wouldn’t. You find some interesting new faces pop up in your social circle and this pleases you. There is nothing like a couple of new admirers to add to your list of fans to make a Lion’s day. This weekend a rondevouz with one of these folks has some unexpected consequences. Ooh la la!

Virgo—Industrious Virgin, you just can’t resist the urge to ramp up the holiday festivities, can you? Slow down for work zones, Virgo. Seeing that your life is a work in progress, this means taking a good look at what you have to do as opposed to what you want to do. It wouldn’t hurt to expect the kids to clean their own rooms.

Libra—This weekend brings some unusual but lovely surprises. Maybe an old college roommate camps out on your doorstep, or that cutie at work makes an unexpected declaration of devotion. What ever it is, the stars are shining on your love life, Libra, though it is going to be up to you to make the most of what at first seem to be an unseemly situation.

Scorpio—Other peoples’ nervous breakdowns set you on edge. When did you become your brother’s keeper? Surprise, Scorpio! The Universe is calling on you to perform service to your family and friends. You may wonder what makes you so special. I’ll tell you. Your innate strength makes you best suited right now to prop up some shaky situations. Consider it an honor that the Universe recognizes this in you.

Sagittarius—This weekend has you feeling especially generous towards your significant other, which is fortunate for you considering all the things she or he has done for you. A Sagittarian display of Jovian gift giving is just the thing to make up for the off handed way you treated your SO this year. It just may get you out of the doghouse. Let’s hope.

Capricorn—Four planets are directing hitting your buttons right now, so either you are feeling you can do no wrong, or that you’ve done everything wrong. You strive to master your environment, including the people around you, but as usual there is some element or person in your life that you can’t control. Would it surprise you to learn that the only thing you can control is yourself? I’m sure it does.

Aquarius—You could, in actuality, look like a troll, but you will draw compliments anyway, since the planet of beauty and love is sitting directly on your Sun. Venus, joining glamorous Neptune in your sign lends you a romantic and mysterious aura that others might find irresistible. Use your new found super powers wisely as the powers that be might be afraid you are trying to get away with something. You usually are, but this time, they can see it.

Pisces—Midweek could find you in some racy situations under the Mistletoe, Pisces. However, make sure the only thing green in work place is the recycling bins, as higher ups do not approve. I know you don’t care a flying partridge pear tree if they do, but considering how variable things are in the workplace, its best not to shake up the status quo, especially when they are eyeing you for a possible promotion. Not aware that they are? You really are the last to know, aren’t you?
