Weekly Forecast: Don Your Rose Colored Glasses

This upcoming week many of us have the narcotic of a Grand Trine in Earth signs to soothe our anxieties. The harmonies of Venus entering the sign of Taurus, Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Virgo form an embracing zone of comfort that lures us into thinking that maybe, just maybe, everything is OK after all. This the week that first of the “economic stimulus checks were to be released to the public, and no doubt when this happens we are going to hear the hoopla in the media.

Add to this atmosphere a persistent quincunx between Mars in Capricorn and Neptune in Aquarius. Mars is our survival instincts and in the sign of Capricorn, Mars is urged to play the game, make conservative moves and watch the political implications of the actions of the other players. Its not the best position for rough and tumble Mars, but it manages to make do, unless it is involved in an inconjunct. With Neptune in nervous Aquarius, this stress aspect leaves nothing but fuzzy thinking and confusion in its wake. Rather than deal with the mind bending possibilities of sorting the real from the unreal we just may sink into the comforts of Venus in Taurus.

As a personal planet, this Venus position is sensual, loving comfort, luxury, beautiful surroundings and good food. Venus here moves with calm and sure grace among material concerns. Because of an innate sense of control in financial matters, accumulation and release of resources are done in a sensible manner, providing a steady stream of comforts even during difficult times. Venus in Taurus does not like to do without the champagne and caviar, even if they are on a beer budget. Buying things on sale and putting them away for tougher times is the strategy here.

So we have the two planets of authority and control making a trine to this Venus. Its OK, really, the power brokers say. We are going to take care of those nasty financial concerns by doing X, Y, Z. By the way, here is a check from the gov’mint so you can stick your finger in the dike, until we can get that crack patched. Please don’t move until we get there. We are lulled, though we are only delaying the inevitable. Mars inconjunct Neptune adds a haze to our critical thinking abilities. Why don’t we all don some rose colored glasses this week? Its the only way we want to see things anyway.

Oh, and by the way, this Mercury inconjunct Neptune lends itself to infections, so it is entirely possible that a nasty respiratory infection will sweep the East Coast. With this inconjunct, astrologers Sakioian and Acker cautions against infections of more personal nature. Buy some Purell this weekend, clean your hands often, watch who you sleep with and take no chances. If you are sick, stay home already so you don’t pass on the respiratory infection to the rest of us!

For the Upcoming Week:

Aries–Sometimes took much of a good thing is just that. You’ve got some opportunities to score some points or make some important progress with your career this weekend, but you have to put in the time at work. Put away the beer and tell your buddies you’ll see them later.

Taurus–The world is your oyster. Why then are you feeling so overwhelmed? Maybe you need to a take a little break from everything you are trying to do or pare away some nonessential duties. Learn to live with dusty bunnies. Horrors! I know.

Gemini–The Twins don’t get much of a break as the people in authority are pushing you to do more–now. You’d however, rather flirt with the cute work mate. Try to put some effort into the work, Gemini, because you need that job, don’t you?
Cancer–Feeling pushed, Cancer? Someone saying you aren’t doing enough? Its bad enough not being appreciated, but being cranky and out of sorts is not a good response. Fight fair.

Leo–Be forewarned. If you are swept off your feet this week, it could be for a good long time. Be sure you desire this entanglement.

Libra–Your love life may hit a few bumps in the road as someone is looking for more attention than you can give right now. Though home concerns consume your actions, you should consider giving some more face time to important people.

Virgo–Out of the blue, someone says or does something unexpected that annoys you. What are you going to do about it? Consider this adage, “Living well is the best revengeâ€?. Virgo, you are living as high on the hog as you can get right now. Smile.

Scorpio–Though you are revved up for action, you might find that your plans are too impractical at this time to put into motion. Rethink your strategy, as the stars call you to act in a more concrete way to achieve your goals.

Sagittarius–You just shouldn’t wait to take up the latest opportunity. Though you’ve been holding out for a better deal, you might not get everything you’ve asked for. Do you really want to let this opportunity slip through your fingers? You may have to compromise short term gains for long term goals.

Capricorn–Can you do any wrong, Capricorn? Yes. If you are handed the brass ring, take it now. Being cautious will cost you in the long run. Oh, and put away the credit cards. The plastic you ring up today is only extra money you have to pay tomorrow.

Aquarius–Though you are itchin’ for change, the opportunity isn’t quite here yet. Soon enough you’ll acquire the additional work you’ve desired. Then you’ll wonder what you got yourself into.

Pisces–Break free Pisces and get away from it all. If you can slip away a few days, it will do you some good. If not, take a walk on the wild side and explore your inner self.

Excuse me, but Mars in Cancer? And your date: March 25?

  2. Beth Turnage Says:

Thanks for letting me know that I posted the wrong date at the top of the page. I’ve been catching myself with that all month long. April has been so horrible for me that I think I’m trying to forget it altogether.

Indeed Mars is in Cancer. The astrology is correct. The date of the top of the page was not. It is fixed now.

    God Bless,

    Beth
