Weekly Forecast: Unexpected News and Views

What’s a poor Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces to do? With the Moon in Scorpio, the sex may be hot, or it may not, but this weekend will focus on carnal desires and the giving and receiving of “attention” rather than “affection.” It can be a cold world out there, my water sign friends, when other people expect you to pony up in the hug and cuddles department, but leave you wanting in true intimacy.

Things are not much better when the Moon slides into “That’s How I Roll, Good Times Boy” Sagittarius. Here you fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius get to stress when you , tsk, tsk, tsk, are called upon to complete certain tasks, overriding your plans to cavort with some cutie. You are caught between your work obligations and your social ones and neither is willing to yield to the demands of the other. You’ll just have to smooth on that Fire Sign charm to trowel over the small cracks that suddenly appear. Come ‘on, you are a master at that after all.

On the twelfth, the Moon strolls into Capricorn, giving the Earth signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, a really unneeded boost, since Mr. Jupiter is in harmonious energetic connections with all of you. There is a suggestion though, that you Earth signs, who have been blessed with more financial security than the rest of us, are holding onto things just a little more tightly than you should. Mars in Virgo in tension aspect to Uranus in Pisces suggests that while you are all working hard enough, you need to give back to the community, if only with labor, for your own spiritual growth. So if the kiddie’s school wants some help with the kick-off fundraiser of the year, spend that Saturday morning hawking baked goods at the local market. It will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Promise.

What about the Air Signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius? For you, who are used to abstract, yet rational thought processes, you are knocked off balance this week by the opposition between the Leo Sun and Neptune in Aquarius. You are struggling through issues of when do something for self or when to conform to the wishes of the group. Certainly, my Air Sign buddies, you know that you are “right”, but the group you belong to, whether it be your family, your friends, or your work, have an entirely different view. Whether you go along for the sake of group cohesiveness, or go your own way is up to you. Just remember, this time, you don’t get to lead the parade.

On the fourteenth, when the configuration known as a Yod, forms between the solid Capricorn moon, the showy Leo Sun and unpredictable Uranus in Pisces, we all get to consider our place in the world, our path and our destiny. We just might find that who we are doesn’t mesh with who we want to be! With the South Node, the point of our Karma, sitting close to Leo Sun, we just might decide that we need to get back to our roots, or at least examine where we have come from. We may ask why we are giving so much and getting so little in return. The answers may surprise us. As one of my tarot books says, “Unexpected news and views are on the horizon.” Indeed!
