What DO You Want?

The two most predominant aspects in this week’s series of aspects is Mar in stress aspect to the Sagittarian sun and Uranus, the planet of individuality in challenge aspect the planet of responsibility, Saturn.

Mars is in the homey sign of Cancer, content to curl up in front of the fire, while the Sun is in all action, full of fire, Sagittarius. This stirs petty annoyances and conflicts over every day matters. “I think we should have tiny red blinking lights for the house, honey, says Ms. Sagittarius, while Mr. Cancer grumbles, unrolling the traditional multi-colored large bulb lights everyone associates, but no one else uses, with Christmas. Traditions along with duties and responsibilities are pitted against the desire for freedom of expression. Mr. Aquarius might drag home an artificial aqua colored Christmas tree, Ms. Virgo forgo the traditional candy and cookie making routine. Its just all very surreal, these stars, when the end of the year celebrations of hearth and home and spiritual values are challenged by a sense that the business of living is out of kilter with our hopes and desires.

What do we need to examine here? During most of the week, we will be blaming our relationships, due to a T-Square with the Saturn, Uranus and the Sun. But that’s not it. “The fault, Horatio, lies not in our stars, but ourselves, said the Bard. Nothing, however, is harder than examining our actions and our goals to see if they are harmony with our inner promptings, the drives of our soul. What DO you want?

Aries, Leo and Sagittarius–on one hand you feel perfectly free to do what you want, on the other, you are bothered about what people say about it behind your back. Smile, fire signs, and display your typical generousity of spirit despite snarky remarks.

Capricorn and Taurus–you breeze through weekend chores, taking care of holiday decorations, doing the baking. You are in synch with the stars finding an expression of individuality in performing these seasonal chores. However, pace yourself to conserve your energy for the hectic week ahead.

Virgo–a strange ennui hits you as the holidays ramp up. You know you do to much, now you are feeling it. Calm your restless spirit with some meditation, a yoga class, a workout at the gym. Stretch yourself by not denying your feelings yet not giving into them.

Scorpio, something unexpected happens midweek and you aren’t sure what you feel about it. Your energy and drive has attracted attention, now you are offered the chance to do more with what you have. Take it.

Cancer and Pisces–you find yourselves not knowing whether or not to take action. The social scene seems fraught with dangers, any action you take is criticized as not being enough. There is no good answer here. The exercise of making decisions is the point.

Gemini, Libra, Aquarius–you find special, prehaps even spiritual, significance in community. You are not sure what to do about these feelings. Recognize them as the stirring of your soul to make you aware that your contribution is valuable. Doing something about these feelings are necessary right now, though you should consider what you want to give to your community as your Christmas gift to the world.

I’m just sayin’, I hope you’re right. I’ll take it if it comes along. This was just so appropriate to what I needed to hear, that, well … I’ll certainly keep my fingers crossed.
