Your Soul’s Purpose

Many of us ask, what is our purpose, what I am doing here? There are times in our lives that these questions are all the more pressing, the end of a job, a relationship or the chronic illness or death of a loved one.
Often we start in one profession, then find it no longer fulfllls us, we start a relationship and with the course of time it may no longer nourish us emotionally, we have children, and those relationships have trials and difficulties despite our best efforts. Sometimes, without even a provacative event we feel that somehow life is empty and we are missing something.
The answers are never easy as we are here for no loss than the evolution of our soul. There are many stages of soul growth, with the lessons to learn becoming more complex as we master each of them. Still, astrology is a good tool in pointing us in the right direction. It is a roadmap to our lives, pointing out our strengths and weakenesses. It shows us what areas of our lifes we need to develop.
The Sun, our essential essence is the ideal we are trying to achieve. Though each of the signs are complex. the keywords associated with them give us a clue. Aries is courageous leadership, Taurus, attaining security, Gemini, gathering knowledge, Cancer, protection of the home, Leo, attaining authority through noble actions, Virgo, service through work, Libra, joining communities through co-operation, Scorpio, delving into the deeper mysteries, Sagittarius, communicating advanced philosophies, Capricorn, perseverance, Aquarius, living as a indivual integrated into the community, Pisces, accessing the spiritual and sharing it with all.
The moon is the sum of our past lives. When looking at the aspects of the moon to the other planets you can see what has been successfully navigated in the past and the lessons that still need to be learned. For instance, a person with Saturn square the moon may not have handled responsibitlites successfully and is here for a do over of that lesson. There is often fear and insecurities surrounding this issue and as a result suffer from excessive worries about handling them.
Saturn is another planet we look at when delving into past lives and parsing lesson for this one. Look at the sign and house it resides it and the aspects Saturn makes to the other planets. The challenge aspects, the conjunction, the square and the opposition to other planets show the areas that need work. For instance, Saturn in challenge aspect to Mercury is an individual who needs to learn to express their ideas with confidence. Sometimes, even with the easy aspects a Saturnian cast lends a hint of unease. Maybe thats what keeps us humble.
Certain aspect groups show us our challenges in this life. Someone with Moon opposite the Sun or personal planets as part of a T-Square here to work on relationships. Often relationships are fraught with obstacles and impediments and require the person with such a combination to make decisions that are painful, yet necessary for growth. A person with a Grand Square is here to work on balancing the challenges represented by the planets in the grouping. People with a Grand Square in a chart often feel “hung on a cross” until they accept their life as one of service to others.

I’m having some challenges right now in my life that this helps clarify down the roles for us who are in this struggle. I’m passing this post on to them all so we can read, reflect and discuss how we are moving on from here. Thanks! What a God/dess send, really! BRAVA! oxo
